We did not pay contractor to abandon Linux! Honest!

Filed under: Uncategorized — ctrambler @ 10:13 pm

Interesting follow-up in ComputerWorld about Microsoft “bribing” contractor to abanon Linux story. Microsoft enied doing that. However, when you dig deeper, you will find while it is technically true, since the contract in question was not executed, it is an admission that Microsoft did offer to bribe.

To me, the central question is ethics. Is it proper business practice to “bribe” contractor? I don’t know. I haven’t work in the business world before.
