The “Lauren” ad is a no-risk proposition as far as filming is concerned. There is no such thing as a sub USD1000 17 inch laptop. Lauren being told to get a laptop with that spec and price tag will have to get a windows. Period.
It is an advertisement, so expect it to be biased and manipulated. Even so, it did quite well to drive home the message: “Consider Windows when you buy your next computer”.
