London Stock Exchange’s Linux trading platform in trouble (again)

Filed under: Uncategorized — ctrambler @ 11:30 am

Glad to see that LSE’s Linux trading platform, like its previous Windows trading platform  is not immune to problems.

Right now it can still be argued that we are looking at teething problems. Nonetheless, lost trading time == lost profit for a lot of people.

Let’s hope they sort all the teething problems soon. Until then, we cannot really compare the two trading platforms.

  1. Looks like the LSE won’t have to worry about their brand new new Linux-based trading system much longer. A couple of weeks ago, the LSE announced their intention to merge with the Toronto stock exchange (TSX). A couple of the news reports I read here in Canada said that one of the factors in the merger was so that the LSE could use the TSX’s much superior trading platform.
